My husband and I try to get out and have some nice couple time as much as possible. We are fortunate and very blessed to have my parents who live with us to watch the kids for us to have some quiet time every now and again. One of our best dates this year happened a few weekends ago. My hubby had the idea to check out a rooftop lounge out in Los Angeles. He searched for one and we ended up going to The Rooftop in downtown LA. The Rooftop is a rooftop lounge at the Standard Hotel. I have to say, upon arrival, the hotel had a very nice outer appearance, with a nice and modern feel.
The lounge was free to enter at the time we arrived. It was a nice laid back atmosphere with some very nice little features here and there. We tried out the waterbed pods which were quite interesting! I joked that I definitely could not sit there because I was sure to become sea sick (lol)! We found a cozy little spot near one of the outdoor heaters and sat to chill and enjoy.
I am an absolute foodie! So, with that said, of course I ordered food. There truffle fries are amazing and the Kobe beef sliders were great. The DJ was spinning some old school joints and have a nice groove going. Being able to lounge, listen to the music and watch the night sky that peeked around the high rises was the most beautiful date we had in a while. I had an incredible time!
Applause for my hubby who picked the perfect date night spot! The Rooftop at the Standard gets 4 stars from me!
If you are in the Los Angeles area or surrounding and looking for a date night spot, I recommend checking out this spot.
